Introducing New Features, Including Advanced Board Generation Options
We've been working hard to improve Hexakai over the last few weeks. Today, I'm pleased to announce that these features are now rolled out, most notably, the new board generation options!
Advanced Board Generation Options
This month, we've rolled out a new feature: Advanced Options for creating new games. Now, you can select from a variety of options, such as Diagonal Strings and Hollow Center to create more unique, custom tailored games. There are currently ten options, and more are coming in the near future! Moving forward, the daily boards will also take advantage of these new options.
The full list of options is:
- Standard: generate a board using the standard algorithm.
- Row Strings: generate a board that favors alternating rows of strings.
- Diagonal Strings: generate a board that favors long, diagonal strings.
- Checkered Board: generate a board that resembles a checkers pattern.
- Hollow Center: generate a board where the cells are focused away from the center.
- Two-Line Clusters: generate a board with two line-clusters surrounded by empty cells.
- Three-Line Clusters: generate a board with three line-clusters surrounded by empty cells.
- Galton Board: generate a board that resembles beads falling through a Galton board.
- Winding Strands: generate a board that is more likely to contain long strands of cells.
- Top Heavy: generate a board where the cells are clustered at the top.
- Random: select an option above at random.

We've rolled out a contact page where you can ask us questions about the game, tell us about any issues you may have with the website or app, submit feature requests, and reach out for general inquiries. New Theme
In preparation for the festivities, we've rolled out a new Pumpkin theme! To use it, click the button on the top right of the page to open the settings, then select "Pumpkin." This one is one of my favorite themes.
Info Box
On the main app, you can now click the info icon on the info box to open a dialogue box with more information. This will help provide you with more useful information without needing to switch pages.
